Hello Everyone!
On my birthday we went and ate lunch with Percy and his family. It was really great to see him again.

We had a really good week this week and stayed super busy. We found a lot of new people to teach, we got a family to come to church that hasn't come in 4 years, we went to Huancayo for leadership council, and we had interviews with President. It was so tiring traveling 6 hours to Huancayo Tuesday and coming back on Wednesday and then interviews on Saturday, but in the end it was a great week.

We have an awesome investigador named Edu he's 18 and has a friend in the mission in Mexico. His dad died a few years ago, and he really liked the plan of salvation. He should be getting baptized pretty soon and he already talks about wanting to serve a mission. He's just a super awesome and prepared person to get the gospel in his life.

3 Dads and 3 Sons

The area we're in is pretty tough, it's small and just a bunch of little old ladies that live on the hills and speak Quechwa and almost no Spanish.... hahaha! I've learned so much Quechwa you'd all be very surprised. It sounds like all the made up Spanish words I used to say before I started my mission… haha!

 At leadership council all the zone leaders and assistants that I had egged on their birthdays got their revenge on me together with 30 eggs at the mission home.. They started throwing the eggs at my back and a lot didn't even break just bounced off my back and it hurt so bad leaving me with welts all over my back... Other than that part it was a great experience :) haha

I love and miss you all tons hope yall have a good week!

We had a really good week!  This week we had 2 baptisms! Kadu and Edinson two brothers were baptized on Saturday. Kadu is 18 and already wants to go on a mission and he comes with us everyday to go to appointments and teach. So he's a super awesome convert.

Yesterday we went to the jail to go visit his friend there, and he's already given us other references and we've found more people to teach thanks to him. He's awesome!

Kadu our recent convert!

 I read an awesome scripture this week in 3 Nephi 6:13 that says

 13 Some were lifted up in pride, and others were exceedingly humble; some did return railing for railing, while others would receive railing and persecution and all manner of afflictions, and would not turn and revile again, but were humble and penitent before God
I love this part of the Book of Mormon. Right  before Christ comes to the americas the people start to divide in classes and some people were humble and some weren't. The nephites who grew up in the right principles and traditions of their fathers, weren't truly converted to the gospel like the lamanites were, and the lamanites were all converts! They grew up in the wrong traditions, but truly repented and had a testimony of their own. I also love how the principle of turn the other cheek was taught here before Christ even had taught it on the other side of the world
Mathew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheekturn to him the other also.
And to understand it even better, we have D&C 98:23-26
23 Now, I speak unto you concerning your families—if men will smite you, or your families, once, and ye bear it patiently and revile not against them, neither seekrevenge, ye shall be rewarded;
 24 But if ye bear it not patiently, it shall be accounted unto you as being meted out as a just measure unto you.
 25 And again, if your enemy shall smite you the second time, and you revile not against your enemy, and bear it patiently, your reward shall be an hundred-fold.
 26 And again, if he shall smite you the third time, and ye bear it patiently, your reward shall be doubled unto you four-fold;
I know that we need to be humble and patient in all things, and I invite all of you to do so as well, so that we can all be truly converted to the gospel and live what we teach and claim to be true.

Update for Month of June 2015

June 8, 2015

This week was a lot better than last week! We should be having a baptism this Saturday his name is Kevin. We have another baptism scheduled for the 27th his name is Hans.

On my birthday July 4th we're trying to plan a wedding and another baptism so things are really looking up. The guys name is Juan for the 4th and he's living with a girl that's a member so they need to get married before he can get baptized. We've already became great friends even though he's pretty crazy but he's super funny.

We've been having a lot of less actives come back to church lately and yesterday 230 came to church which was a new record! This month should really be a good one with a couple baptisms and some less actives rescued.

The dedication of the new temple in Trujillo is in like 2 weeks and we get to watch the transmission so that should be a cool experience.

Everything is going great here! Love and miss you all tons have a good week!
